Little Wood began when we became increasingly aware of the sheer amount of usable wood off cuts that went to waste in the furniture industry around us. We knew we had to be better uses for these offcuts. Driven by a desire to create high quality, thought-out pieces. Nothing goes to waste at Little Wood’s little workshop. The off cuts are turned into functional pieces, the unusable strips are used as kindling by small communities and the untreated sawdust is given to small subsistence farmers in the Cape where it is turned to mulch for the plants. Our goal is to create homeware with intentional meaning. We strive for a circular system where everything is used and nothing is wasted.
